The Bible Talks :: Mayfair
Students
Church
The Bible Talks aims to be a student friendly church for university and college students of any age, studying anywhere in London. We are a church which is keen on solid Bible teaching, on genuine fellowship and on evangelism. To that end, students at TBT will find each week at church:
A talk from the Bible which will stretch and encourage the believer, but will also be accessible to those who wouldn't call themselves Christians.
A lively church meeting with good music and many young people.
Every week after the evening meeting the students meet informally together, eat quality nibbles and chat with each other and with members of the Student Ministry Team.
In the teaching, the atmosphere and the fellowship, we aim to be a place that students can bring along friends who are still questioning the Christian faith for themselves.
We also strongly encourage accountability with older Christians at TBT and it is our aim that every student can have the opportunity of meeting one to one with someone older, to read the Bible with them, to pray with them and to be available for help and advice.
Discipleship Training Course
This is a midweek course for students from all universities to learn, train and have fellowship. Click here for more details.
Impact
Because many of our students come from Imperial College, we support the Imperial College Christian Union to put on weekly lunchtime talks on Tuesdays. The talks are aimed at both Christian students and those who wouldn't call themselves Christians.

Training
As part of our desire to train students we will be having regular events to help us all learn to understand the Bible better.
There is also a national 9:38 weekend away each year (this year was from 5-7 December 2008) for students thinking through whether they want to go into full-time gospel ministry.

Socials
There will be various socials throught the year exclusively for students.
